TelcoBridges and Kingdom Telecom Double the Size of Henan Mobile's Personalized RingBack Tone (PRBT) System in China -- Its Size Has Increased to
Montreal, Quebec, Canada (PRWeb) January 23, 2007 -- TelcoBridges Inc. announced today that Kingdom Telecom Network Technology Company Ltd (Kingdom Telecom) of Beijing has further extended China's largest single location Personalized RingBack Tone (PRBT) system from 1,184 to 2,368 E1s -- effectively doubling its size.
The original deployment of 500 E1s took place in late 2005 at Henan Mobile and was increased twice in 2006 to meet the increasing demand for the operator's successful "Color Ring" service. Color Ring replaces the normal ring tone, heard by the calling party, with a variety of personalized voice recordings, songs, melodies or sound effects. Henan Mobile has a customer base of more than 17 million subscribers. It is a subsidiary of China Mobile Ltd. the world's largest mobile carrier with more than 287 million subscribers worldwide.
With TelcoBridges' highly-scalable TB640 System-Blade™ and StreamServer™ products, controlled by Kingdom's application software, Henan Mobile has a robust and cost-effective solution which accommodates the rapid growth of their Color Ring service. In addition, since all expansions to the system were done live, Henan Mobile maintained the service operational and protected its revenue stream.
The size of the system and the ease with which the expansion was performed proves the inherent scalability of TelcoBridges' innovative architecture. Kingdom took full advantage of its benefits in fulfilling their customer's need for rapid growth simply by adding additional TB640 System-Blades™.
