Webmaster Community Launches $1,000 Posting Contest

Nanaimo, BC (PRWeb) February 26, 2007 -- The webmaster forum, PublisherForums.com, has launched a $1,000 posting contest. The website, which is geared towards the discussion of earning money online, is a discussion community which caters to web publishers and focuses on the element of earning and maximizing income from websites.

PublisherForums.com covers all aspects of web publishing including SEO, Affiliating, Contextual Advertising (AdSense/YPN), Entrepreneur Discussion, and Domains. The primary focus of PublisherForums is to unite web publishers in a community where discussion is revolved around earning income from the web through web publishing.

Relatively new, PublisherForums.com already sports 5,000 posts and over 400 members, but owner Tyler Cruz feels the site needs more exposure. "I honestly feel that the site is a very valuable resource for webmasters," said Cruz. "But the truth is that nobody really knows about it. That's why I'm giving away cash, I'm hoping that people will come for the cash, but stay for the forum."

The $1,000 contest on PublisherForums.com has four different categories in which members can become eligible: Quality Posts, Most Posts, Community Spirit, and Top Points. Each category has a minimum number of posts that a member must make in order to qualify for the prize.

"An important thing to note with our contest is that we're giving away cold, hard, cash. Running contests for websites is nothing new, but many contests these days simply give out various donated prizes such as shirts or products from advertisers instead of actual cash. We're giving out real cash, not products or services that equate to $1,000," Cruz said.

When asked how PublisherForums.com could compete with the large number of other webmaster forums on the Internet, Cruz replied, "I'll be the first to agree that there's no shortage of webmaster forums out there. In fact, I still visit a few of them on a regular basis. However, PublisherForums.com is not just another webmaster forum. It focuses on monetizing websites and caters to web entrepreneurs who are looking to make money online or even do this for a living. We do not focus on actual website construction or technical discussion. That's where the other webmaster forums fit in."

The contest is currently active and runs on PublisherForums.com from February 16th, 2007 to April 1st, 2007.
