Cosmic Launches Website to Fight Community Homeless
Clearwater, FL (PRWeb) March 5, 2007 -- Graphic design firm Cosmic International has announced the launch of a new website for the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) in Clearwater, Florida. HEP is a registered non-profit organization that provides comprehensive housing and support services to homeless and low-income individuals and families. The goal of the initiative was to develop a fresh approach to the way HEP communicates to its community through the internet.
The website located at http://www.ethep.org features a complete redesign with a sleek new interface supporting the open and friendly environment found at HEP. Cosmic worked closely with the organization's marketing team to create a customized user experience that includes online donations, video features and valuable information about HEP's programs.
Terrance McAbee, HEP's Vice President of marketing said, "We are extremely pleased with our web site's new design. The site is easy to navigate, offers improved functionality and is more informative than our previous web site. Cosmic did a great job reflecting HEP's new image: a colorful, hopeful and intelligent approach to combating homelessness."
With web technology becoming more advanced, utilizing new tools can sometimes generate results that are impractical and don't always match a company's objectives. Creating a memorable online user experience isn't necessarily about incorporating complex programming, but more about defining the message and developing easy to access navigational tools for users to interact with the information they need.
There were a lot of details concerning the content that were organized to help boost the effectiveness of HEP's site. "Our aim was to create a marketing tool that kept the user engaged in the information." says David Scott, President of Cosmic's United States office. "We added navigational pathways to help visitors explore further into the site and highlighted the importance of contribution by creating opportunities to donate online as well as through invitations to volunteer."
Sean Collier, President, Cosmic's Bermuda office added, "An emphasis on a clean layout and a focus on navigation helps to deliver the information with ease. We reinforced this with a bold use of color that helps present the site as a space for progress and hope in the face of such a unfortunate issue."
The new website represents a major achievement in an ongoing effort to rebrand HEP. Cosmic donated several of its services late last year to help the non-profit organization establish itself with a new logo as well as various other communication tools to assist in its fundraising endeavors.
