If you are planning to accommodate some banner ads, make sure that you have enough space for this too. A word of caution though, banners and pop-ups can be really irritating to some viewers. Things popping out of nowhere every time you open a site can really get into the nerves at times especially when you are in a hurry.
When monetizing your blog, make sure that you employ multiple income streams to maximize your earning potentials. For instance, you can put ads, affiliate marketing links, auction links and others in your site. Do not just stick with a single income stream. If one income stream isn?t working at, least you still have other sources which could bring in some money. Experiment with the different income streams and find out which ones work best for you. Always be in the look out for opportunities. If one income stream dries out, then scour the net and find another way to replace that income stream. Bear in mind that the internet is your friend and if you just know how to look for opportunities, you can earn considerable amount of money online.
Is it alright to put a button in your blog saying that you accept donations? Well, you cannot really give everything out for free. If somebody benefited from the information that you put in your blog and would like to reward you for it, go ahead and accept it. Bear in mind that you have spent hours collecting the information that you put in your blog so you deserve to receive some compensation for you efforts.
