MoneyBackCo, Australia's Moneyback Community, Unveils its New Website
Sydney, New South Wales (PRWEB) June 15, 2007 -- MoneyBackCo (http://www.moneybackco.com), Australia's original 100% moneyback website, today officially launched its new look website featuring greater integration between itself and their partner website OzBargain (http://www.ozbargain.com.au), improved readability, a cleaner look and increased payment options.
MoneyBackCo tags itself as "Australia's moneyback community" and began life at the end of December 2006 with the launch of its beta website and a promise to put Australian online shoppers in the driving seat, "Instead of losing all or a vast majority of referral money that online businesses pay to attract customers to their website, you get to know exactly what companies are offering referrers and the best bit is you get that back rather than someone else, and you receive 100% (after a $10 membership fee has been deducted from your earnings)," according to their website.
Since then MoneyBackCo has caused a stir in the Australian moneyback/cashback website world. "Unlike many cashback websites we offer our members 100% of the moneyback available from merchants (subject to the $10 annual membership fee)," said Steve Ford, MoneyBackCo's founder, "If you compare our moneyback versus the cashback offered by the other sites, you'll see that those other sites are taking 50% or more of the cashback for themselves, now that doesn't seem very community spirited does it?"
MoneyBackCo works by you searching their website of over 600 online merchants for the product or shop you want, you then click through their links and buy direct from the merchant, completing your purchase wholly online with that shop or service provider with your goods being delivered as normal. The clever part is that any commission that the merchant offers to referring websites (in this case MoneyBackCo) is returned to you. MoneyBackCo will deduct a $10 annual membership fee (to keep it in business) from its members' earnings, so quite simply if you don't use your MoneyBackCo account you never pay anything.
So what's the catch? "Quite simply and honestly there isn't one." Steve says, "These moneyback transactions from merchants to advertising websites happen all the time but you're probably not aware of it. So if the merchant is happy to pay for you to shop on their website why shouldn't they pay it to you?"
Since reviewing MoneyBackCo on his blog site, OzBargainBlog (http://www.ozbargainblog.com), Scott Yang, founder of OzBargain, a community website where its members "Share the best Australian bargains and deals" formed an ongoing dialogue with Steve and in March 2007 the two sites formed a partnership. "OzBargain and MoneyBackCo can compliment each other and better serve the Australian bargain hunting community by joining forces together." Scott said at the time, "OzBargain invites the community to share the best deals around Australia, and MoneyBackCo, with its exposure to wide range of merchants/online stores, can add seasoning to those great deals by rebating the commissions, thus making them even greater deals!"
