Ergotron's M&E Operation Showcased by Chinese Government Recognizing Fast Development of Industry

St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) August 31, 2007 -- Ergotron, the global leader in computer and video display mounting equipment, announced its manufacturing facility in Southern China (Min Aik Ergotron Precision Technology Co., Ltd., M&E) was showcased by the local government in the Dongguan ShiJie Investment Guide. A total of ten factories were featured in this year's guide out of over 65,000 factories that exist in the greater Dongguan area.

The investment guide is an official government publication used as a promotional piece for potential manufacturers interested in investing in or setting up operations in China. The M&E operation was highlighted as one of the high growth manufacturers in the "fast development of industry" category.

Ergotron established the joint venture in China with Taiwan based Min Aik in 2004 to leverage world class competitiveness and to better serve its international customers. Located in ShiJie town, Dongguan City, Guangdong, China, the manufacturing facility is solely dedicated to world class manufacturing and distribution of Ergotron products.

The Dongguan facility is staffed by an international team of senior management with many years of successful Asia manufacturing and engineering expertise. The facility follows stringent in-process test and audit processes, 100% end-of-line functional test, cosmetic inspection and life-cycle /reliability testing on each production lot, ensuring the highest quality on all products.

In early 2007, Ergotron became majority owner of the M&E joint venture by acquiring 51% ownership of the manufacturing facility, in partnership with Min Aik Technology Co., Ltd., of Taiwan, who now owns 49%. This ownership structure enables Ergotron to continue its innovative approach and remain the industry leader in display mounting and healthcare solutions.
