Categoric's Partnership Deal Cracks China
(PRWEB) October 5, 2007 -- Software specialist Categoric, whose cutting-edge business management solutions are sold around the globe, has signed its first partnership agreement in China.
The contract is with award-winning Carnation Software whose prestigious customer base includes China Mobile, China Telecom and Bank of China.
Through Carnation's offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, the distribution deal for Categoric's solutions and software will enable Chinese businesses to boost their operational efficiency and competitiveness, according to Paul Humphries, Categoric's VP of Marketing.
"Categoric's technology will enable Carnation to create measurable value for its clients through savings in time, money and resources," he said. "By constantly monitoring business operations for changes or trends and flagging up opportunities or problems so that immediate corrective action can be taken, our Business Activity Monitoring software vastly increases business control."
Carnation's chief executive Key Kwok is enthusiastic about using Categoric software to reinforce his company's position as a leading provider of business solutions.
"The analysts were right - we looked at the marketplace and found that the best solution for Business Activity Monitoring for us to offer our clients was from Categoric," he said. "The deep functionality, flexibility and ease of use means that we can quickly and confidently offer our clients the best solutions to address their current and future business needs."
The deal with Carnation comes as Categoric steps up its initiative to increase its network of technology partners.
"We aim to expand our network aggressively both in the UK and overseas," said Humphries. "By utilising the technology solutions pioneered by Categoric, our partners can add new revenue streams and reduce their own 'time to market'."

Investing In China: Chinese Banks
China?s banking sector has traditionally served as a party-controlled feeding trough for its inefficient, unprofitable state-owned enterprises (SOEs), most of which were technically insolvent. The process was simple ? extend a loan to an unqualified SOE applicant, then write off the loan as a bad debt when it failed to repay. This situation is beginning to change, and Chinese banks are attracting the attention of foreign banks that are beginning to view them as investment opportunities rather than potential competitors. Nevertheless, China?s banking industry is beset by several problems.
