Online CPAP Community CPAPtalk.com Launches the Product Challenge

Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 1, 2007 -- CPAPtalk.com announces the Product Challenge, an industry first opportunity for CPAP manufacturers with similar products to challenge each other publicly in patient satisfaction trials. Once a challenge has been made, CPAPtalk.com will hold an open enrollment for patient's currently using the challenged manufacturer's product. Fifty patients will be selected from those enrolled based on CPAPtalk Product Challenge vetting standards. The challenger's product will be used for two weeks and rated via a detailed satisfaction survey.

The CPAPtalk Product Challenge promotes healthy competition and an incentive for increased product quality based on customer response. This system provides patients a way to try out competing products free of charge and have their opinions heard.

Manufacturers benefit from the Product Challenge by using it to objectively prove the superiority of their product to it's competitors. This tool can be used by manufacturers looking to draw extra attention to the launch of a new product, build their brand image or expand their presence in a new niche. A manufacturer's success in the Product Challenge will provide compelling marketing material for a representative to extol the virtues of their product to diagnostic facilities and physicians.

Durable medical equipment providers benefit from free and objective measurements of product quality by patients. These tests can be used in place of or as a supplement to costly in house testing of product quality. In addition, providers have the ability to use the results as part of their own marketing collateral, promoting the best product choice for patient's.

Physicians benefit by knowing which products will best serve their patients needs and comfort. A patient recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnea trusts their physician to recommend products and a specialist that will help them combat the problem. With such a wide variety of products available it is extremely difficult to know which ones best serve patients. The CPAPtalk Product Challenge delivers results that patients and physicians alike can use to best gauge what masks, machines and accessories will help give a Sleep Apnea patient the best night sleep possible.

Initially, results of the CPAPtalk Product Challenge will be published on CPAPtalk.com, a public forum with over 200,000 posts and over 30 million page views. To see what results have been published and what product challenges will be happening in the near future, please visit http://www.cpaptalk.com/productchallenge Results will also be reported to industry publications and winners of product challenges will be highlighted on CPAP.com.
