Learning the Chinese Language Online with Chinese-Course.com
London, UK (PRWEB) October 25, 2007 -- These days China is all over the news and is becoming an economic powerhouse. Interest in learning Chinese has grown dramatically in the past years. It has become one of the fastest growing languages studied in Europe and the United States.
Not everybody has the time and resources to fly over to China and learn the language. That's where the web site Chinese-Course.com comes in.
Chinese-Course.com was launched in July 2005 by Oliver Antosch who wanted to learn the language because his wife is from Taiwan. Not being able to find a language course he liked and being an internet programmer he decided to start his own web site.
Chinese-Course.com soon became very popular and now has almost 3000 sign ups and is growing every day.
Many people think that learning Chinese is difficult but in some respect it's much easier than Indo-European languages which usually inflect verbs. Instead of "I went to the market" you say "I yesterday go to market" which makes things much easier.
"I think the site is the best I have found for Mandarin flashcards so far and it is helping me to get a better understanding of the basic characters," says Helen a regular user of the website.
The web site offers many features like a personal word list, a detailed explanation of sentences, a sound feature to listen to words and you can learn both traditional and simplified characters at the same time. The web site is also a community with a discussion forum and weekly polls.
Chinese-Course.com is the perfect place to get started with learning Chinese. Sign up is free and it only takes a minute until you get a taste of the Chinese language.
The Chinese language site can be found at http://www.chinese-course.com/

Great Wall of China - Embrace the Chinese Dragon
The Great Wall of China was originally created in 221 BC by joining several local walls which were built by ducal states to defend their own territories. Construction continued up to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), when the Great Wall became the world's largest military structure. The current measurement of this defensive wall, which stretches across northern China from east to west, is 7300 kilometers (4300 miles). Beijing without a doubt is the best place to experience the Great Wall.
