Resolve Technology Gives Back to the Community with Year-End Drive
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 20, 2007 -- Employees of Resolve Technology delivered over 150 items collected as part of the Resolve Gives Back charity drive to The Horizons for Homeless Children Center in Roxbury, MA. Items collected and donated by Resolve's employees included books, dolls, toys, blankets, and baby-care items.
The Horizons for Homeless Children is dedicated to enriching the lives of homeless preschoolers, providing homeless children and their families with daycare services, job training, and parent support.
"We know the center has been doing a wonderful job improving the lives of local homeless children and their families," said Araxie Peña, a business analyst at Resolve Technology and the organizer of the Resolve Gives Back drive. "We hope our donations can help the center reach out to more homeless children during the holiday season and make a difference."
"The Resolve Gives Back drive is a commendable addition to the contributions that Resolve makes every year to a variety of charities," said Eric Forman, Resolve's Founder and CEO. "It embodies the spirit of giving and I am proud to be part of it."
About Horizons for Homeless Children
The Horizons for Homeless Children organization helps children learn how to play, share, read, and enjoy exploring their worlds. It helps parents learn how to be nurturing and involved in the growth and development of their children, and help them learn and grow through job training, GED and college courses. It helps stabilize families so that they can weather any crisis, and thus help to break the cycle of homelessness that too often occurs.
Since 1994, more than 1,000 children have been served by the Community Children's Centers. More than 8,000 volunteer Playspace Activity Leaders have been recruited and trained since 1990, giving thousands of children living in family shelters in Greater Boston the opportunity to play, learn and just be kids.
