Chess Sets for Charity -- Giving Back to the Community
Livonia, MI (PRWEB) January 11, 2008 -- In an effort to increase public service, on-line retailer BraRoe Chess (http://www.braroechess.com) has announced that they have begun a charity programs called "Chess Sets for Charity."
The program, already in effect, allows customers who spend a minimum of $100 on the purchase price of a chess set, to dictate what charitable organization they would like $10 sent by BraRoe Chess. The idea behind the program is for every customer that patronizes BraRoe Chess that they will in turn get to patronize their favorite charitable organization -- with no added cost to the customer.
"This is the best way that we can think to give back to the community and to be able to give our customers the ability to make a difference with their choices as well," stated owner Bradford Roegner. "With this program, a customer gets a great chess set and the satisfaction of knowing their chosen organization gets the help that it deserves."
BraRoe Chess has some ambitious goals for themselves with this program. The company would like to see a minimum of $1,000 per month go to charities. While aggressive, they believe that both their customers and the chess community are more than generous enough to help their favorite organization.
When asked about what BraRoe Chess would do if a customer were undecided for a charity, "We will, for the month of January, give the money to the American Red Cross. After that, we will evaluate. The Red Cross just does so much good work all around," responded the owner.

BraRoe Chess is an on-line store that specializes in all of chess enthusiasts playing needs. Established in 2005, their catalog included over 200 available chess sets, electronic chess sets and over 15 backgammon sets.
