Businessman Claycomb to Support New Major Chinese Outreach
Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) January 30, 2008 -- Arizona businessman and humanitarian Lloyd Claycomb has generously donated $125,000 to the Sacramento-based ministry of Amazing Facts to help fund the production of Christian radio, television, internet, and health programs to reach the people of China, a nation notorious for oppressing the Christian faith.
Pastor Doug Batchelor, president of Amazing Facts, says the timing of Claycomb?s generous gift couldn?t be better. He explains, ?Right now, we have a breakthrough opportunity to reach the Chinese people with the hope of the gospel. Living under Communist oppression puts enormous stress on the human soul. Families are disintegrating, and people are hungry for a better way. They need the hope that Amazing Facts? unique ministry can offer, and Lloyd?s gift is a huge leap forward.?
?As today?s rapidly evolving media environment creates new opportunities, we must be alert and on our toes to stay ahead. With Lloyd?s faithful partnership, we?re able to move forward with new outreaches in the best possible way.?
Amazing Facts will also create several new Chinese websites that offer free health lesson, Bible study guides and pocket books that explain fundamental Bible truths and valuable health principles that will help improve living conditions nationwide. These downloadable resources, translated into the main Chinese language and redesigned for their culture, will be immediately useful for all who engage them.
Pastor Doug adds, ?Unfortunately, persecution in China is a daily reality for many believers and pastors. This makes it very difficult to get truth out. So we must help train Christians and ground new believers in the truths of God?s Word, while also reaching the hundreds of millions who have never heard the name of Christ!? The sheer immensity of the project is daunting and expensive, which is why the help of gifts like Lloyd Claycomb?s is essential.
