Spanish Language First Mobile Social Community Launches
(PRWEB) February 12, 2008 -- Silicon Valley based Comunidad M, Inc has joined forces with Los Angeles based company TribalGlu to launch the first ever Spanish speaking mobile social community. Tu Yo Ahora will first launch it's direct to consumer WAP based mobile community through the carrier networks in Puerto Rico and later expanding into the rest of Latin America and US Hispanic markets.
End users will be able to login through monthly subscriptions using premium sms. Tu Yo Ahora will offer the end user a variety of services via the product's mobile web interface in which they can come together through private or public chat rooms, create and view user profiles, access mobile content including music, videos and images, and upload videos, blogs and images.
Comunidad M's Rebecca Albert says, "This is our way of bringing the Spanish speaking community together, not only by our language but through our interests, lifestyles and even by our native origin.
This would be their 'MySpace' for mobile. We are aware that there are other social mobile networks in Puerto Rico and the US, but those are in the English language". With a base of 2 million subscribers in Puerto Rico, Comunidad M, feels that it can capture part of that audience. Puerto Rican mobile users will be able to communicate with their friends and loved ones, with instant videos, messages, blogs and images sent from their phone regardless of where they are.
TribalGlu COO Marty Keene says 'This is a great opportunity for us to customise our product for the Spanish speaking market place and make the product available to a Hispanic culture that embraces mobile content and communication with great passion and excitement' He added 'Partnering with a company like Communidad M provides us with access to market places like Puerto Rico, Chile, Mexico and Argentina where they already have strong mobile business relationships as well as living and breathing the culture of the user and knowing what they want'
