Bulldog Boatwerks Opens New Blog

N Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) March 8, 2008 -- Bulldog Boatwerks opened its doors to the public 9 years ago after founder David Douglass saw the need for quality marine service in southwest Florida, starting the business from scratch and building upward. In 2001 they opened their web site to expand their audience. Now they have taken the next step and begun a blog at www.BulldogBoatwerks.net, giving their customers greater attention and building a community around their business.

"What brought me online was the obvious need to reach more people and to be modern with a business plan," explains David, a forward thinker and boat enthusiast. "We carry quality boats and provide excellent service -- we sell fun to the boating community."

Building on the quality of their name is the goal of the blog. It allows for direct promotion of products and brands, as well as encouraging improved customer service. "We'll be posting often with new news and new products," says David. "Customers should know that we care. We're friendly, positive, and we strive for improvement on our service and reliability."

The blog is an extension of the "kaizen" mandate of Bulldog Boatwerks. Japanese for "continuous improvement", the word kaizen sums up David Douglass' attitude toward his business and his willingness to improve upon it. One of the biggest parts of this plan involves the Triumph line of boats, reputed to be the world's toughest boats due to their construction from nearly-indestructible ropline. "We have a huge discount in place on Triumphs for anyone in the military or retired from the military," explains David. "It's up to as much as $8,000. We teamed up with Triumph as a dealer to provide a thank-you for the military personnel and what they've done for us."

Bulldog Boatwerks also carries rugged, no-nonsense boats by Sea Dory, high-quality aluminum boats by Yamaha-owned G3, and a number of niche lines suited for southwest Florida boating.
