North Andover, MA (PRWEB) May 31, 2008 -- L-com Connectivity Products announced today that it has donated $6,241 to the American Red Cross International Response Fund for the benefit of the China Earthquake Disaster. The total amount included $1,241 from employee donations as well as an additional $5,000 from L-com, HyperLink Technologies and L-com Suzhou, China.
The American Red Cross International Response Fund will use the money to help provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other needed support. The American Red Cross is in close contact with our International partners who are ready to offer additional assistance if requested. This may include sending financial support, relief supplies or experts to help survivors recover and rebuild their lives.
The donation reflects L-com's responsibility to global improvement and especially its friendship with China, where it opened a manufacturing plant in 2006. "L-com is always willing to help those in need. Because we have a facility in China we feel a special commitment to help these victims." said Katie Schwanekamp, L-com's HR Manager.
The Chinese manufacturing plant that L-com announced it opened in 2006 features state-of-the-art assembly and molding machinery, a large office area which can be expanded as the number of personnel grows, and a video-linked conference area for real-time communication between managers.
